The case brought by South Africa, against Israel over committing genocide in Gaza to the International Court of Justice, has captured the world’s attention and shone a light on the plight of the Palestinians. South Africa was clear that the genocide didn’t start on October 7th, and that what Israel is doing can’t be justified, exposing the Israeli government and pushing American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to describe Johannesburg’s move as “meritless.”
Meanwhile, the US and the UK attacked Houthis in Yemen, with a total of 73 targets, which brought the specter of a regional war to the fore, as Israel continues to attack Lebanon and with Hezbollah attacking Israel almost on daily basis. Helena Cobban, Yousef Aljamal and producer, Tony Groves speak about this and much more.
