We had a great discussion on the need for UBI as a new baseline for human dignity, the need to match UBI with Universal Basic Services and the economic and nationalist arguments against introducing such a scheme. This is a subject that we will be returning to as the Covid pandemic has shown the need to rethink our social safety nets.
