As the Government looks to send the Dying with Dignity Bill away for 12 months via review, we are left asking are the politicians who govern us, once more, way behind the electorate? Joining us to talk about the Bill, her own rare chronic pain condition, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and how this impacts her quality of life now and into the future is Social Democrats Vice Chair, Evie Nevin.
Evie explains how this is, for her, about bodily autonomy and how she feels those who are arguing against this Bill (the slippery slope) need only look at where similar laws are in place to see that this is not the case.
This is a sensitive subject and we are very grateful to Evie for outlining her experience and views.
