We are joined by Joan Byrne, one of the founders of the SAOL Project. Joan explains the origins and the phenomenal success of SAOL in empowering generations of women affected by substance abuse. We talk about the obstacles SAOL encountered along the way and how SAOL has always had the campaigning for women and by politically at its core. Joan has never done a podcast before but we’re sure that this will not be her last. Well done to all at the SAOL Project on all your tireless work.
