This Reboot Podcast is a special interview with author of How To Fight Inequality, Ben Philips. As well as an author, Ben is an international anti-inequality activist and an advisor to the UN, Governments and Civil Society Organisations. We begin by talking about Ben’s Irish connection as great-grand nephew of Irish revolutionary Padraig Pearse, and how that connection inspired his path in social justice. Ben outlines the causes of rising inequality, in financialisation, and the destruction of trade unions, in the disorganisation of ordinary people. But Ben then sets out a vision and agenda for equality, and importantly how it can be achieved – through organising, storytelling, narratives of the common good, and by living equality. Ben believes that now is a time of hope. Enjoy
