225. There’s Room For Everyone

This Reboot Republic talks to Senator Eileen Flynn about her experience as being an ‘other’ within Irish society, as Ireland’s first Traveller member of the Oireachtas, her work in the Seanad highlighting Traveller and wider inequalities and human rights, her own experience of discrimination just last week being refused entry to a premises, and the impact on mental health of such discrimination, the need to advocate for the human rights of all minority and oppressed groups including refugees, asylum seekers, people of colour, LGBTQI+, the need for implementation of policy and the inclusion of groups affected by inequalities in the making of policies.
