We talk about the historic importance of the gathering, how it was a moment of celebration, a giant act of solidarity and love, and an assertion for an inclusive welcoming Ireland for refugees, asylum seekers, Travellers, and the diverse population of Ireland. We also discuss how it was also a moment of challenge to the policies of Governments and failures in housing, health, inequality, and poverty that are leaving communities marginalised. We discuss the key role of local ‘For All’ groups and activists in organising the event, and we discuss how Ireland For All can continue to grow as a new movement for a new Ireland, a vision and pathway for conversations, community action, celebrations and assertions of an Ireland for All based on addressing the inequalities in society.
