Journalist, Roman Protasevich was forced from a Ryan Air flight between Athens and Vilnius, by the Belarussian authorities, in what is by all definitions a disgraceful breach of international law. So we called Moscow based journalist, Alan Moore, to talk about how something like this could happen, the EU’s reaction and the wider geopolitical game that is been played out by Russia, the US and the EU.
We also discuss the curtailment of human rights in Russia, particularly laws used against members of the LGBTQ community and why Putin continues to lead a country that has lost its place among the superpowers of the globe.
