587. Irish MEP’s Clare Daly & Mick Wallace

There’s no doubting that both Clare Daly and Mick Wallace have made headlines the last few months. Trips to Syria and Iraq have led to questions about their actions and motivations. So we asked them. Clare and Mick make no apologies for sitting outside of the EU orthodoxy and whilst we certainly don’t agree on everything said, we felt it was a very worthwhile conversation. Have a listen.

  1. Hi lads,
I listened to your podcast with MEPs Clare Daly and Mick Wallace yesterday. At the start of the podcast you said you were interested in travelling to Palestine but you were confused about the logistics of getting there etc.. The implication was that Palestine is a difficult place to get to. I was a regular traveller to Palestine prior to Covid. To get to Palestine, you fly to Tel Aviv airport (I found Turkish Airlines the best carrier – Dublin – Istanbul – Tel Aviv for about €300 return), get a 90 day visa (free for Irish Citizens) at Tel Aviv airport and then take a public bus to the outskirts of Bethelehem and enter into the West Bank through this checkpoint. As a general rule it’s a simple process. I’d defintely recommend a trip there.
