635. Sustainable Food Systems and Ireland’s Role in the Global Food System

We were joined by Independent International Development Consultant, Researcher Affiliate with the Cambridge Central Asia Forum and lead author of the report joint Oxfam and TrĂ³caire report – Sustainable Food Systems: Steps Ireland can take to become a global leader, Sinead Mowlds, to talk all things food.

Sinead outlines the context for the report, some of the key findings, where Ireland is doing well and where we can be doing much better. We talk food as nourishment and not just as calories, the need to build biodiversity and climate action into our delivery system and the challenges to demystifying food stats. A great listen.
