645. Sam Mcilwaine on the NI Protocol, Partition Commemoration and Our Shared Island

Last week as the 100 year Commemoration of the Partition of Ireland took place in Armagh, we were chating again with socialist Unionist, Sam Mcilwaine. Sam tells us why he thinks President Michael D. Higgins ‘missed a trick’ by not attending, he explains why the NI Protocol is seen as a further severing of the ties of the Union and tells us that he thinks the politicians are on an election footing right now.

We discuss the logjam of Stormont and ask if any of the parties are providing a vision for a better future for the young people in the Unionist community. As always, a great insight from Sam.
