855. Capitalism is Eating Itself

It was a pleasure to be joined by Economic justice campaigner. Professor of Accounting Practice, Sheffield University. Chartered accountant. Political economist. Co-founder, the Green New Deal, Richard Murphy.
We discuss the economic icebergs the Bank of England (and prospective Conservative leaders) seem determined to steer towards. Why neoliberalism has failed and how to build stories about a better way. Richard discusses how the Green New Deal can be a win for the 99% and the importance of the role of the State in getting us there. We also touch on the macroeconomic picture and ask are the markets correct in betting against this inflationary cycle continuing in the long-term.
