Cian’s research has looked at the rise and fall of cooperativist initiatives in Ireland and particularly workers coops and the Irish trade union movement. We discuss the possibilities and necessity of a shift to economic democracy and a cooperative economy and its potential to address areas like climate change, inequality and the housing crisis.
