Ep.37 Health, Hope and Activism – The Youth Panel

On this Reboot Republic podcast we talk to a panel of young people about mental health, their experience of lockdown and the pandemic, how they feel about the demonising of young people, the Leaving Cert, and we ask how is it to be a young person in Ireland today, and what do they see as their future. They are an amazing group of inspiring young people who want to make a better progressive Ireland and are showing ways that young people are doing it. This is a very hopeful listen!

The panel are: Clare Austick, Welfare Officer with the Union of Students in Ireland – Alicia O Sullivan, first year law student in UCC and represented Ireland at first UN climate summit in New York – Luke Casserly, Deputy president of Irish Second Level Students Union and host of Incorrectors podcast, student in DCU Michelle Byrne, former campaigns officer with USI and campaigner with Uplift – Matthew Ryan, welfare officer with Irish Second Level Students Union, currently doing leaving cert.
