We were joined in the tortoise shack by Independent Senator, Alice-Mary Higgins and I don’t think you’ll get a more comprehensive explanation of the issues and problems with the CETA deal. Alice-Mary points out that we don’t need to do this and that in fact, the political environment has changed so much since the deal was proposed that going into it now seems folly. She expertly breaks down the reasons we should simply press pause now and avoid tying ourselves into the type of deal other countries are spending years trying to get out of.
Alice-Mary also outlines that while this is painted as Green Party issue, we really need be asking the other Govt Parties why they want to do this. Listen, get informed, Stop CETA.
