JP Swaine #FirstFortnight Ep 30 pt1

We can all struggle with our mental health at times in our life. The first two weeks in January aren’t called the January Blue’s for a sales campaign. But our guest, Mental Health Social Worker, Cognitive Psychotherapist and co founder of mental health charity First Fortnight, JP Swaine, believes in the potential for art, music, film and literature to help us deal with some of the issues and traumas life puts in our path. In this part JP speaks about the genesis of the Charity, his own personal experiences, what drives him and his colleagues to help people work through their mental health challenges and why getting rid of the stigma, removing the feeling of failure and tackling the othering associated with asking for help benefits everybody. Part 2 coming soon.
